Fiona Bawn-Thompson graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2005 with a Degree in Drama & Performing Arts. She has been working as a professional in the Arts, both as a Tutor and Actor since 2002 and successfully runs her own Academy of Performing Arts, FADDstudios, with 19 permanent classes throughout Northern Ireland. She has previously worked as a dance Tutor in South West College, where she taught various genres of dance including Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Salsa, cha-cha, Medieval, Irish, Line, Musical Theatre, Street & Hip-Hop.
Her Hip-Hop Dance Crews, compete at Championship level and they continue to perform professionally for various events throughout Northern Ireland. In 2014 one of her dance Crews qualified to represent Ireland in the World Hip-Hop Championships in Las Vegas and were placed 16th In the World!
Her Choreography credits include Hairspray (Lismore), Cinderella (Brownlow), Little Shop of Horrors (SWC) The Canterbury Tales (BIFHE) The Little Lion King, The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland (FADD) High School Musical (BEAM), Uprising (Smashing Times Theatre Company) She also worked on and performed in The Man of Mode (actor and Dance Captain) at The Lyric Theatre Belfast and 42nd Street in The Grand Opera House Belfast.
Fiona has an accredited course in Street Dance and has also completed specialized courses through UCD with Smashing Times Theatre Company, The Lyric Drama Studio in Belfast and Robert Hylton’s Urban Classicism Dance.
