Tammy Sharpe – Dance

Tammy Sharpe BA (Hons) is a highly qualified and experienced performing arts facilitator from Co. Armagh. She specialises in working with dance and drama organisations, schools and cross-community youth centres across Northern Ireland. Throughout university, Tammy studied and obtained a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA Hons) in Contemporary Acting, as well as completing a foundation degree in Musical Theatre at Newcastle College, England. From this formal training, Tammy has become a highly skilled performer and facilitator in a variety of dance genres including Musical Theatre, Jazz and Ballet technique, Contemporary and Hip-Hop.

Since graduating, Tammy has travelled and worked across the world as a professional performer over the past 4 years. In 2012, she performed in a variety of musicals and pantomimes across the northeast of England including ’The Glass Slipper’ directed by Ericca Whyman and ‘Shhh…A Christmas Story’ directed by Mark Calvert (Northern Stage).

Tammy then worked in Egypt in 2013 as a professional dancer for LaVacca Entertainment. She performed musical productions and Egyptian folklore across all of the Intercontinental Hotels in Taba and Sharm El Sheikh.

In 2014, Tammy worked as ‘Cruella De Vil’ and a character and parade performer in Disneyland Paris, where she gained essential skills and the creative expertise to deliver high quality performing arts training.

Since returning home to Northern Ireland, Tammy has opened her own PA school ‘Dreamz Academy of the Performing Arts’, and has been working as a freelance musical theatre teacher and choreographer. She facilitates for the well-established dance and drama school FADD and is responsible for all of the external work in which the company takes on. She is also the Director of Drama for Kids Theatre Group in Armagh, where she manages large groups of children and teenagers from ages 3-18. She produces large-scale musical productions in the Marketplace Theatre twice a year.
